Justice Initiatives Facilitation Fund (JIFF)

The Justice Initiatives Facilitation Fund (JIFF) is component 3 of the Justice Partnership Program (JPP) which is a joint program between the Government of Vietnam, Government of Denmark, Government and Sweden and the European Union to support justice sector reform in Vietnam. The JPP objective is based on Vietnam Judicial Reform Strategy: A capable, ethical, democratic and rights-protecting justice sector developed.

The aim if JIFF is to build capacity of Non-State Actors to contribute to enhancement of awareness of rights, access to justice and judicial reforms. The Fund provides application-based support to Non-State Actors to facilitate a range of initiatives through calls for proposals and awards of different types of grants twice per calendar year from September 2010 to early 2015.

The JIFF is administered by Global Justice Solutions (GJS) within the parameter given by the component's Steering Committee (including Ministry of Justice and Representative from one of the funding donors). GJS also provides technical assistance of capacity development to grantees in various areas.

All JIFF grants are to be scrutinized and awarded by a Grant Committee.
