David Moore has a broad mix of justice skills having retired from executive positions of Commissioner, Department of Justice (Correctional Services) and Deputy Commissioner with responsibility for Police, Fire and Emergency Services in Australia. As a seasoned development practitioner with experience in the Asia-Pacific region, David has worked actively throughout his career with individuals to promote best practice, professionalism and accountability in themselves and their Agencies. He brings skills and experiences to promote effective communication, relationships and genuine partnership with all Law and Justice Agencies with whom he works. In his previous role as the Team Leader of the Pacific Regional Policing Initiative (PRPI), a multilateral initiative co-funded by the Governments of Australia (through AusAID) and New Zealand (through NZAID), David lead his team to significantly contribute to a safer, more secure and stable environment amongst Pacific Forum Island Countries. David's role included effectively managing the PRPI Project on a day to day basis, accounting for program resources, promoting collaborative work practices, enhancing prospects for sustainability of the program outcomes, providing the strategic oversight, leadership, logistical support and project management systems necessary for the effective delivery of PRPI activities. Prior to his appointment as Team Leader for CCJAP III in March 2009, David carried out short term advisory work within the Pacific environment generally in a leadership mentoring role.
